Change Types

The command uses the three classes TOGAF Phase H (Architecture Change Management) defines.

Type Use When Usual handling
Simplification Reduces or rationalises the architecture, often to cut investment Change management within Phase H
Incremental Derives more value from the existing architecture Change management, or partial re-architecting of the phases it touches
Re-architecting Creates new value through structural change to the target state, scope or direction A new ADM cycle, usually from Phase A

An urgent or corrective change is not a separate type. Classify it by its scope and set its priority to Critical or High.
